The curvy 3” x 3” Better Days ornament is hand-painted with carefully applied texture that jumps off the surface of the ornament. The approachable blue color recalls both happy and emotional days, resulting in a peaceful contemplative sculptural work of art. The curved shape of this ornament adds a twist to this otherwise tone on tone textured surface.

The entire curvy miniature artwork is painted a matte blue color, creating a trompe l’oeil, or trick of the eye experience. The differentiation of the texture from the ornament’s surface beckons the question: which characteristic takes precedence, texture or color? Despite its dichotomy between texture and color, this ornament expresses tranquil resolution.
